What’s next? How about clouds!

Clouds - 6 x 18", acrylic on canvas

Ok so I took a small break from doing my regular fuzzy faces that I usually do and shot some photos of the clouds outside (which were amazingly cool btw!), broke out my acrylics (which I am really liking as well!) and did a quick cloud study. By quick I mean, this took me all of about half an hour to do. This was a gift for my boss, John Christy (who is a very cool guy who studies weather at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. He also is the Alabama State Climatologist. You couldn’t ask for a cooler boss, people.) I have been wanting to paint clouds for a long time so this was the first, the bigger painting followed this. I have decided I like to paint clouds. Definitely.  I did a larger one which measured 24 x 48″ which hangs in the Atmospheric Science Department at UAHuntsville. It also is very cool. Must get a better photo of it soon to show you :-).
