First Disney trip… watercolor WIP

I love when commission season starts, usually a month before christmas, people are rushing for great ideas for their loved ones… When I get to do these special moments, forever immortalizing them in paint and board, it makes me feel so good… The scene below is a detail of a watercolor commission I am working on, Eloise holding the hand of her grandfather, walking around the Magic Kingdom… Her first trip to Disney. I still have a few more things to do with this before it is finished, but it is coming together nicely 🙂 I use Daniel Smith watercolors and Ampersand Aquabord for my works, only the best materials for these one of a kind portraits.

As always, if you are interested in commissioning a piece of customized original art that will be treasured forever, check out my website. 🙂

UPDATE:  Finished this commission, needs to be sprayed and off to the client it goes! Merry Christmas to this little girl’s grandpa :-). Hope he likes it!!

  1. I just saw this! As the Granddad in this pic, I have to say I Iove it! It is the perfect statement about the perfect and unconstrained love this grandfather has for his grandchild! Now i have 3 more grandchildren, but this is how I think about them all…. Thank you so much! This is my favorite picture in the world – and it was beautifully created! Thanks so much!
