Panoply was a HUGE success! I sold over half my inventory, which was great! The collages seemed to be the big hit this year as they flew off the walls. I sold 5 watercolors as well! Also traded with another fantastic artist, Amanda Bennett, who has an affinity for old rustic neon retro signs like me :-). (I love trading art!) It was a great weekend despite the heat. Luckily, I got into a new and fabulous gallery in Huntsville, too! They loved my work!
While I was sitting in my booth, I got some painting done. I started working on a Jellyfish watercolor, one that my son, Maarten, wanted me to paint for him. I took the shot at the Chattanooga Aquarium, the only one out of about 22 pictures that wasn’t blurry! I got a good head start on it! This is 12 x 16″ using Daniel Smith watercolors done on my favorite surface, Ampersand Aquabord. Will be finishing it up this week and I will post a final shot for you all.
